CRANE Database Q&A Session: Summary – May 2024

Q&A sessions are held twice yearly to provide cleft services with direct access to our project team, who can answer questions about data collected in CRANE. The aim of these sessions is to improve the quality of the data captured within the database.

The online event, held on 24 May 2024, was open to all UK Cleft Service team members, and was particularly relevant to members of Cleft Services that enter data onto the CRANE Database for yearly CRANE reporting and for quarterly SSQ Dashboard submissions.

The aims of the online event were to:

• Improve the quality of the data captured within the database;
• Review our quality improvement resources to support this;
• Ask questions in advance of the 30^th June 2024 data submission deadline;
• Review the outlier process for 2024.

CRANE ‘Q&A’ session, May 2024: Summary

The next CRANE Database Q&A session will be held Monday 20 January 2025, 10:30 to 12:00, in advance of the deadline to extract the data for the 2024 preliminary report. This event will be suitable for anyone who records, checks and submits data.
